History:
Collectively the team has spent 40 years working for companies ranging from medium-sized family run to Top 5 Multi-Nationals. Predominantly involved on the commercial side of the business where effective communication skills are considered paramount. Each spending several years as sales trainers within Multi-Nationals, (Unilever Bestfoods, Tetley, Burton`s Foods, English Provender Company, Badger Brewery), developing various courses in communication, negotiation, account management, customer service training etc.
Marcus Kilvington – Director
Marcus spent 17 years working in commercial roles for a variety of companies.
A sales trainer, having worked at Unilever for 5 years, Marcus also held roles within Tetley and Burton’s Foods in sales management positions.
Implementing sales training programmes has always played a major part within the companies he has worked for. He has been responsible for all aspects of training, starting at induction stage through to negotiation at the highest level.
Marcus knows how to train, nurture and get the best out of a sales team.
Nick Eastwood – Director
Nick spent 20 years working for a variety of food companies.Predominantly involved in the commercial side of the business, where effective communication and management skills are considered paramount. He worked for several years as a sales trainer with Unilever.He was responsible for induction training, through to advanced negotiation skills, at senior level.
His last eight years were at the ABF Food Group in various roles, which included, National Accounts, Commercial Manager, and the last three years as the National Sales Manager for one of its companies.
Responsible for achieving budgets, and delivering agreed shareholder expectations, Nick managed a sales & marketing team, overseeing Retail, Foodservice, and Export Division, whilst retaining account responsibility for Tesco, J.Sainsbury and Walmart/Asda.
Angela Mitton - Expert Food Consultant and Trainer
Founder of product development consultancy, Beetroot & Orange, Angela Mitton has over 13 years experience in the chilled foods sector within both NPD and technical fields. Prior to founding Beetroot & Orange, Angela’s experience has been gained predominantly working in the Marks and Spencer supply base. As well as offering one-to-one consultancy and interim business support Angela, a qualified chef and food technologist is an accredited trainer through the CIEH and RSPH for Food Hygiene, Nutrition and HACCP based courses. Outside the consultancy Angela writes a regular column in the Food Industry’s leading publication Food Manufacture and has been a judge for the Own Label Excellence Awards and the Great Taste Awards given annually by The Grocer and The Guild of Fine Food respectively.
Nicola Holly – Customer Services Manager
Nicola has recently joined the company and brings a wealth of business experience in Management, Finance, Administration, Sales and Support roles.
Nicola was a founding partner and played a key role in developing a small family business into a multi-million pound turnover company.
She managed the companies administration, marketing, advertising and telesales function. As a result we will shortly be incorporating telesales training into our portfolio.
Her role will be to ensure that all our customers receive the finest support available and she is committed to further developing the long term relationships we have with our clients.
